MenzaNS Data Deletion Disclosure

This page describes your right to request deletion of the data MenzaNS stores about you on our server, and explains exactly what happens when you do.

1. What Data We Hold About You

The following data is stored on our server and linked to your anonymous User ID (UUID):

We do not hold your name, email, phone number, location coordinates, or any other personally identifiable information. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

2. Data on Your Device

Token counts, card balance, student card details, local meal history, and settings are stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data permanently. We cannot access or delete on-device data remotely.

3. How to Request Deletion

Use the in-app option (easiest) Open the app, tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, and choose "Delete My Data". This opens an email to apollo4.labs@gmail.com with your User ID pre-filled in the subject line.

Email us directly Send an email to apollo4.labs@gmail.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request". Include your User ID, which you can find in the app under Settings → scroll to the bottom.

4. What Happens When You Request Deletion

Immediate deactivation (automated)

When we process your request, your user account is deactivated: the server sets your account's active flag to false. Your UUID will no longer be accepted for new canteen visit events.

Full data removal (manual, within 30 days)

We will permanently delete your user record and all associated meal event records from the database within 30 days of your request. We will confirm by email when the deletion is complete.

Note: Meal event data is used only in aggregate to calculate canteen queue statistics. Once your user record is deleted, your historical meal events no longer contribute to these calculations.

5. What We Cannot Delete

After deletion: If you reinstall the app, a new UUID will be generated and you will start fresh with no data on the server. The old UUID and its data will have been permanently removed.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under data protection law (such as the GDPR in Europe). These include the right to access the data we hold about you and the right to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at apollo4.labs@gmail.com.
